Still Flowing Yoga
  • A Moving Meditation for Life... Developing meditative concentration through focus on the breath and meditative mindfulness (moment by moment awareness) "Through the practice of Vinyasa Yoga (breath synchronised movement) and Vipassana/Insight Meditation The Vinyasa facilitates this intuitive and creative flowing moment by moment awareness and focus on the breath, the Yogasana creates within us the correct conditions for optimal health, well being and balance in the nervous system, which prepares us to also be able to sit still and comfortably for meditation...
  • The practice of Insight/Vipassana Meditation - sitting still, uses focus on the breath which develops our concentration so that we may then develop mindfulness that closely observes and shines awareness through the body, develops emotional understanding, and penetrates the workings of the mind. The combination of these practices allows us to observe ourselves, question ourselves, and patiently unravel our old and maybe unskillfull habits and behaviour and through this new level of awareness and ability to understand ourselves and therefore others, find a way of kindness, understanding, compassion, wholeness and love... The conditions now are ripe so that we are moved gradually and effortlessly into pure awareness which once has shone through starts to recognize itself and become more and more present".
  • These practices of both yoga and meditation can be fully applicable to our lives to navigate us through our own personal journey of self discovery and liberation.
  • My wish is to maintain in my own life and transmit to students a style of yoga and meditation that is, technically accurate, non-dogmatic, intuitive, spontaneous, non-conceptual, non-intellectual, kind, gentle, safe, compassionate, loving and open to all ... communicated and expressed in a contemporary and down to earth fashion.

SABRINA ROSEBERG
Specialities: Meditative Vinyasa Flow, Chanting/Voicework, Dance and Creative Movement...
  • No matter who I am, what i do, where i come from and where i am going to, i can in all ways benefit by giving a bit of love and care to myself now and again and again and again. Taking another break from life -traffic and commentary- and just breathing so deep into all that i am. Elongating the spine and moving all ways through the body. dropping words and stories for a bit and just watching the creation. Expressing the changes being felt, with a natural giggle or a groan, or quietly in breath, just being me being free. resting in stillness there, (or dancing within it) in that space of pure self, without distraction, is precious. True love is often refreshing and inspiring (and also highly contagious), promoting natural growth and change. If we all do it for ourselves, we might just discover treasures previously unseen, and be fully able to share with each other in abundance and gratitude all of it that is endlessly all one...
  • She completed her yoga teacher training with Brian Kest ... the rest is a secret...

AKI AMORI
  • Aki's classes often start slowly, establishing the chosen theme, preparing the body and mind for more dynamic sequences toward the end, integrating what's been learnt earlier. Basics are never overlooked, even with experienced students. Everyone is encouraged to work on the level of refinement according to their capacity as it can show how subtle changes support bigger external movements. Advanced poses follow naturally when practitioners are ready.
  • "I work somatically - which means we work with 'the body as it is experienced from within', rather than the body as it is looked at from the outside. In this way, the body and mind are not separated but are experienced as a whole."
  • "My classes are based on working with movement principles rather than achieving forms. This offers more freedom in the way we can practice. However it requires honesty, courage and an enquiring mind to discover the truth of ourselves - which is yoga's purpose. Whenever appropriate, I choose to make suggestions and raise enquiries instead of telling students what to do or what to experience in order to cultivate their ability to sense and honour their own experiences. This requires the students to be actively involved."
  • Having studied many styles of yoga, Aki appreciates where they meet instead of focusing on their differences. She runs workshops on Restorative Yoga and is an experienced Pranayama practitioner. She is trained in Structural Yoga Therapy and is currently training in Somatic Movement Therapy. Dedicated to Advaita (non-dual) teaching as well as Buddhist philosophy over many years, she enjoys sharing meditation practices and dharma teachings with her students. This to her is the most important aspect of the practice. Aki's classes are fun and light, and yet profound.

  • Marcela's passion for movement, and for the body started in her early teens. She has practiced many disciplines and therapies as well as yoga, including gymnastics, ballet, contemporary dance and pilates. She is originally from Mexico, where she gained her degree in contemporary dance. Thereafter she worked as a dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, and pilates instructor in her home country, and then in Spain. From here she moved to Buenos Aires to study Hatha Yoga with Yamila in the "Ananda Yoga Centre". She now lives in London, where she studied Ashtanga Yoga in the 'British School of Yoga', and works as a freelance yoga and pilates instructor, both with private clients and in many gyms and spa's all over the city. Marcela Classes are vigorous, enthusiastic and always a bit of challenge.
  • Of Yoga, she says, it has been a beautiful doorway that has me kept active and happy, with an open heart ready to help to improve the lives in others through its direct connection with body, mind and spirit. Her aim is to help people be in touch, to feel and experiment with the physical world through yoga, and to live fully integrated lives, in harmony with themselves, and their surroundings. Spirit has always been her great inspiration in her work and in her life, leading her to also study and practice crystal healing, chakra balancing, active meditation, shamanism and reiki to complement her teachings.
